FAQ's

Do you offer Gift Certificates?

  • Imprimis Gift Certificates are a wonderful way to share with a friend or loved one the gift of self renewal. They are available in any denomination and are the same as cash (not redeemable if lost or stolen.) The gift certificates expire 180 days from date of purchase.

What time should I arrive at Imprimis?

  • We know that you want to enjoy your entire rejuvenating experience. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your reservation to allow yourself time to check in, use our complementary shower, change into your robe and slippers, and enjoy a relaxing beverage in our tranquility room. Each guest is provided with an individual locker in our dressing area however we suggest leaving all jewelry and valuables at home.

What about beepers and cell phones?

  • Imprimis is an oasis of tranquility in a busy world. To receive the maximum benefit of your spa therapies, we respectfully request that all beepers and cell phones be turned off to prevent interruption of your relaxation and renewal experience.

What about my privacy?

  • Your privacy is always respected at Imprimis. You will be fully draped or covered during all treatments. You may wish to bring your bathing suit for hydrotherapy or body services or use disposible garments provided by the spa.

Do I need a reservation?

  • We highly recommend making reservations in advance; however, feel free to call on short notice, as we may have an opening or cancellation.

What if I need to cancel?

  • A 24-hour cancellation notice is requested. Your reservation is a commitment of the therapist's time devoted to you. Please be considerate. Due to scheduling constraints, we regret that late arrivals will not receive an extension of time and will be responsible for full service fees.

Can I bring my children to the spa?

  • Imprimis is a special place of retreat and respite. For the serenity and courtesy of all of our guests, children under 12 are not permitted in spa.

What can I expect from my massage?

  • Once you are with your therapist you will be asked certain questions, such as whether there is anything you like to convey he/she should be aware of. Feel free to express your needs so as to receive specific attention to tense or trouble spots. Your therapist will ask you a few questions to ascertain the most optimum treatment for your sessions.
    Relax, this is your time and time for your body (and your mind) to release the worries and stresses of the day. Deep breathing and closing of your eyes will assist in your complete relaxation.
    Let your therapist know if you are comfortable or uncomfortable, too warm or too cold or if the massage pressure is too light or too intense.
    Trust your massage therapist to move your limbs in whatever position is necessary for and during the massage.
    Enjoy the massage and know that you are doing something very good for your body and your mind. You deserve this healthy interlude.

What is the best way to care for my skin?

  • Skin is the body's largest organ and to maintain optimum health, proper skin care is necessary. Just as you need to cleanse the body and give it proper nutrition to stay healthy, you need to cleanse, tone and moisturize to nourish and protect your skin. Imprimis offers an extensive selection of skin care products that our licensed skin care specialist will be happy to demonstrate for you and educate you for home therapies.

Why have a facial?

  • A professional facial is one of the most enjoyable and relaxing services available. When taken regularly, facials result in very noticable improvement in your skin tone, texture and appearance.
    Facial treatments fall under two categories:
    1. PRESERVATIVE - maintaining the health of the facial skin by using correct cleansing methods, increasing circulation, relaxing nerves, and activating the glands and metabolism through massage.
    2. CORRECTIVE - correcting some skin conditions, such as dryness, oiliness, blackheads, aging lines, and minor conditions of acne.
    FACIAL TREATMENTS ARE BENEFICIAL FOR:
    1. Cleansing the skin.
    2. Increasing circulation
    3. Activating glandular conditions.
